ok it sounds to me like your looking for a fiew things. what I reccomend is a reciever with 2 zone audio. You can get yamaha, denon, or marantz for a good price and they all are good, user friendly, and pretty easy to set up. Now for controll over the whole house you can use a rf remote from universal remotes like the mx 900 with a ir repeater like the mrf350. if you have multiple rooms then you will want to look into a speaker selecter with volume contolls. Nile makes a good one....

Don't do it. It will not last long. Home audio speakers are not designed for the harsh temperatures and vibration that car audio sustains....
